Certain memories of the classic jungle original remain: the DJ's
volume fader flicking up and down almost of it's own accord as the
crowd take over on the vocals, with not many a face left unsmiling. That's what it's all about and here we have two mixes which respectfully touch on the adrenaline that not only fuels 'Big, Bad & Heavy' but imparts it to the crowd as well. Logistics have produced a version that is weighty as hell in the beats dept... in fact it's always quite shocking to witness how hard this man rolls, considering his roots to some may seem firmly embedded in the more liquid side of things (and look out for a stunning mix compilation due out early next
year), underpinned by the precise, trademark Logistics skill residing
in the bass-icity dept. Jungle vets themselves, Serial Killaz get a touch more playful with a slick ragga breakdown (and is that Ramjam
Rodigan I hear on the mic?) and move it up a notch more bolshy overall but then any kru that was behind 'Together' on Formation, not to mention 'Wardance' remix knows how to approach something of the mega-proportions as 'Big Bad & Heavy' just right. Respectful, but
firm. Can see Hype, Kenny Ken and Nicky BM right behind this dancefloor slayer and rubbing their hands with anticipation.
