Just 3 months after the success of "Everything's Different" High Contrast returns in blistering form to bring you "If We Ever" B/w "Pink Flamingos", two tracks as different as each other but equally addictive.
"If We Ever" delivers a graceful combination of choppy synths, smooth amen beats and a punchy bassline that is all helped along by vocals reminiscent of the early hardcore scene, and it's all held together superbly by one of the catchiest piano riffs you will hear all year. Put simply this is one of the most anticipated tunes in recent months. Big!
"Pink Flamingos" reminds us brilliantly of the man's diversity. Shifting away from the atmospheric, liquid front often associated with him, we hear something much closer to jump up but still the track unquestionably holds the special sound of High Contrast. A wicked dance floor roller, a real head nodder - Pink Flamingos compromises a superb little riff with 3 simple chords that lurk in the background carrying all the sub bass you could want!
