'Lies/confusion/government/control/panic/terror...' yes it's that
euphoric, hands in the air escapist anthem 'No Future' from
instra:mental first heard back in the early Autonomic podcast days,
now given the treatment by some upcoming dubstep guy called Skream... and on the topic of things Autonomic and Skream who remembers that night down last year at Plastic People where Skream bridged the gap between Plus Ultra and his own sets with the mighty 'Voyeur'? Bang on point, as is this. Razor sharp-edged sines flashing dangerously like scythes in some sort of timestretched CGI bloodbath from '300', 'No Future' is a walloping, heavyweight remix and passport tune to boot, will level any venue so draw with caution! 'Minimalistix' slides into the cache effortlessly, a disembodied, sort of degraded, low-fi 'bleepy' take on things but to namecheck 'old WARP' is too lazy: it's simply an intriguing, off-kilter wander down a path which is both familiar and alien. Dubstep heaven then.
